Austin and his lovely wife Kelsey grew up in the Claremore, Oklahoma, area and attended the same church growing up. They started dating in High School and got married during their sophomore year of college at Rogers State University in 2011. The week after their wedding, Austin began his first ministry position serving as a student pastor in Claremore, where he served for four years. During that time, Austin and Kelsey both graduated with their undergraduate degrees and started their family through foster care. They began fostering two little boys and were blessed to adopt them nine months later in 2016. Prior to their boy’s adoption, Austin felt God’s call to be a student pastor at a church in Pryor, a position he served in for four years. During these four years, Austin started pursuing a Master's degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis on Theological Studies. The church experienced a time of rapid growth, and in 2019 he transitioned from serving as the student pastor into the position of Pastor of Ministry and Discipleship. In early 2021 God began calling Austin to church revitalization in Rural America. The Lord called Austin and his family to Pastor First Baptist Bluejacket in September of 2021. Austin has a passion for discipleship and outreach and a desire to see the church thrive: to raise up a generation of disciple-makers, who will reach and disciple generations of disciples for the Glory of God alone.
